About This Role – Compliance Team Associate

We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Compliance Associate who will report to the Compliance Chief of Staff. The Compliance Associate will support our monitoring and testing function a across the Genesis entities and work with management to support the general compliance function.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform compliance monitoring and surveillance activities
• Contributing to the compliance processes by identifying opportunities for improved adherence to regulatory requirements and company standards
• Alongside Compliance Management, work to build out the Monitoring and Testing Program, including but not limited to strategy, roadmap and controls to address regulatory requirements.
• Develop and execute project plans to address remediation efforts and testing review findings, which may include process updates, documentation and/or training
• Develop strong working relationships with Audit, Risk and other relevant business lines
• Work with Compliance staff in Singapore and London to ensure compatibility and cohesion with firmwide policies and procedures
• Proactively identify potential obstacles and issues and resolve efficiently and effectively
• Other adhoc duties across Compliance Department, as they arise

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Law/Accounting/Finance or related discipline. Advanced degree preferred
• At least 3- 5 years experience in Compliance, preferably in a FINRA member firm or SEC regulated organization
• Quick learner who can adapt well to a fluid regulatory and business environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills including conflict management skills, and experience interacting with business side and senior management
• Crypto experience preferred
