About Bullet

Bullet is bringing high-frequency trading infrastructure to Solana. The platform delivers sub-millisecond trade execution, a highly sophisticated multi-asset margin engine, and full-featured perpetuals, spot and lending markets built on central limit order books (CLOBs). We're redefining what's possible for on-chain trading by combining the speed and capital efficiency of traditional HFT with the transparency and composability of DeFi.

Bullet is backed by top investors from both traditional trading and crypto including Jump, Amber, Wintermute, Selini, Electric Capital, and Race Capital.

The Role

We're looking for a quantitative trader to design, implement, and manage our liquidity vault from the ground up. You'll bootstrap liquidity on our perpetuals and spot exchanges via a liquidity vault, manage cross-venue risk, and scale operations to handle external capital. This is a foundational role for someone who wants to build something from scratch with engineering support.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement market making strategies for perpetuals and spot markets using an HLP->
  • Build trading infrastructure including execution systems, market data pipelines, and monitoring tools
  • Hedge and manage portfolio risk across external venues (Binance, Hyperliquid, etc.)
  • Develop backtesting frameworks to research and validate strategies
  • Scale vault operations to handle external capital with robust risk controls
  • Optimize vault parameters and strategy performance

Requirements

  • 2-4 years experience at a crypto market making firm, proprietary trading firm or hedge fund
  • Proven track record of consistently profitable trading strategies in any market or asset class, but ideally perpetuals and spot
  • Strong Python or Rust (both welcome)
  • Experience with exchange APIs, market data connectivity, and order execution
  • Deep understanding of perpetual futures mechanics, funding rates, and spot market microstructure
  • Solid intuition for market microstructure, risk management, and portfolio hedging
  • Self-motivated and independent worker who can figure things out without hand-holding
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Nice to Haves

  • Experience building liquidity provision systems from scratch
  • Proficiency in both Python and Rust
  • Familiarity with DeFi protocols, Solana and on-chain market making
  • Prior experience managing external capital

What We Offer

  • Ground-floor opportunity to design and manage a liquidity vault for a high-growth DeFi protocol
  • Engineering support from an experienced team
  • Competitive compensation + token incentives
  • Small team, fast decisions, high autonomy
