We are seeking an exceptional Quantitative Trader / Researcher with a deep understanding of algorithmic trading, market microstructure, and quantitative research.

The ideal candidate combines a research-driven mindset with real-world trading instincts—able to design, backtest, and optimize high-performance strategies across crypto markets. You will be responsible for developing systematic strategies from concept to execution, leveraging data-driven insights, and refining our trading models to drive sustainable alpha generation.

Your main responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimise algorithmic/automated trading strategies with a quantitative research mindset: from signal generation, execution tactics, hedging, to risk management.
• Conduct deep-dive research into market micro-structure, asset/contract behaviour, arbitrage opportunities, and hidden inefficiencies.
• Work with large datasets: back-testing, parameter tuning, simulation, post-trade analytics to drive continuous improvements.
• Monitor live systems, analyse real-world performance versus expectations, tweak live parameters, and collaborate with engineers to deploy enhancements.
• Manage asset allocation across venues/exchanges, examine liquidity, slippage, order-book dynamics and optimise exposure.
• Contribute alternative views — proactively propose novel ideas, challenge assumptions, and work in an open meritocratic culture.

What We Expect

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with algorithmic trading systems.
• Market making and crypto experience is a plus.
• Experience developing simple predictive models and utilizing Python and statistics for research and optimization.
• Knowledge of risk management, hedging, and arbitrage.
• Python skills are a must (Rust is a nice bonus, but not mandatory).
• Ability to read and understand code.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills with experience working with large datasets.
• Excellent English skills.
• Ability to work independently, with an “owner mindset”.
• Willingness to work in hybrid setup with on-site presence in Riga, Latvia.
