Treasury Operations Manager
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage crypto and fiat liquidity across wallets, settlement accounts, and external venues.
- Oversee settlement cycles with OTC counterparties, exchanges, and payment providers.
- Execute internal/external fund flows for deposits, withdrawals, and corporate treasury activities.
- Coordinate with Finance/Risks for cash forecasting and reserve planning.
- Optimise treasury structures for cost-efficiency, speed, and risk reduction.
- Design and maintain the firm’s wallet structure (hot/warm/cold) in line with risk and operational policies.
- Implement access control models, approval flows, and address whitelisting.
- Support wallet activity monitoring, reporting, and compliance with internal custody or safeguarding standards.
- Manage the segregation of client and corporate funds across wallets, banking partners, and payment providers.
- Maintain controls over client fund segregation, reconciliation, and safeguarding attestations.
- Work with Compliance and Risk to meet regulatory obligations on liquidity, capital buffers, and wallet oversight.
- Participate in periodic audits, stress testing, and business continuity planning.
- Administer internal records for crypto and fiat positions.
- Prepare daily and monthly reports for management on balances, movement, exposure, and controls.
- Collaborate with Finance and Operations to streamline treasury processes and support financial reporting.
Requirements
- 5+ years in a treasury, finance operations, or settlement role in a financial institution, fintech, or digital asset environment.
- Hands-on experience managing crypto wallets and fiat flows.
- Understanding of wallet lifecycle operations, transaction control, and access management.
- Deep understanding of fiat and cryptocurrency, liquidity management, and operational risks.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing policies, processes, and systems from scratch, establishing high-performing operational environments.
- Strong financial acumen, commercial awareness, analytical skills and the ability to lead both complexity and volume of demand.
- Strong understanding of liquidity, reconciliation, and safeguarding principles.
- Comfortable operating across multiple asset types and systems (crypto, fiat, APIs, custody platforms).
- Detail-oriented with strong ownership mindset and control discipline.
- Familiarity with EU regulatory frameworks (e.g. MiCA, DORA, PSD2).
- Prior experience with digital asset custody platforms or OTC settlement.
- Working knowledge of capital adequacy or prudential risk metrics.
- Hands-on experience working with Fireblocks.
