About Cryptio

We’re Cryptio. We build infrastructure to bring financial integrity to the crypto economy. Our enterprise-grade back-office and data platform power mission-critical accounting, reporting, and operational workflows for institutions, corporates, and crypto-native organisations.

We’re trusted by leaders like Circle, Societe Generale, Uniswap, Gemini, and the Government of El Salvador. We’ve raised $26m from top investors including Point Nine, 1kx, Tim Draper, and Ledger Cathay.

Location: New York City (hybrid). You'll be a core part of our NY office and help set the tone for how we work.

The role

We're looking for a Sales Director to join Cryptio in New York. This is a genuine opportunity for an experienced enterprise seller to shape the way we sell, by winning important deals, setting high standards, and showing others what great looks like.

You won't manage a team initially. Your impact will come from the quality of your work, the culture you help build in the office, and the processes you put in place for others to learn from.

What you'll do

This isn't just about closing deals. It's about raising the bar for how Cryptio sells and building a strong foundation for our New York office.

  • Win and close major deals with large financial institutions, banks, and fintech companies, working through complex buying processes with multiple decision makers and regulatory considerations

  • Set the pace in the office: run in-person deal reviews, debrief after calls, and establish a clear weekly rhythm that others can follow

  • Lead by example when it comes to finding new business, including senior outreach, conference networking, and working with partners

  • Document what good looks like - from how we message to customers, to how we handle objections and structure deals, so others can learn and repeat it

  • Work closely with our Growth and Product teams to develop materials and campaigns that help move large accounts forward

  • Keep an accurate view of your deals and be able to clearly explain where things stand, what the risks are, and how you plan to address them

We're looking for someone who

  • Has 10 to 15+ years of experience selling complex software or data products to large businesses and financial institutions

  • Has a strong track record of winning large deals and building lasting relationships with senior decision makers

  • Shows up, sets the standard, and takes their work seriously without needing to be managed

  • Knows how to raise the performance of the people around them, even without a formal management title

  • Has a network across banks, fintech companies, and crypto firms in New York, or the ability to build one quickly

Compensation

  • Competitive base salary plus commission with no cap on earnings

  • Target new business for 2026: approximately $1.5M (this may be adjusted as the company grows)

  • A structured onboarding period to get you up to speed before you're fully on target

  • This is an individual contributor role, with the potential to grow into a team leadership position based on performance

Why you'll love this role

  • Work on genuinely hard problems that matter to some of the world's largest financial institutions

  • Get real access to senior leadership and the ability to move fast on good ideas

  • Join a team that cares deeply about doing things well and pushes each other to improve

  • Help build something from the ground up in our New York office

Interview process

  • Talent Screen - 30 min

  • Hiring Manager Interview - 45 min

  • Case study sendoff (a short exercise based on a realistic sales scenario)

  • Case Presentation - 60 min

  • Final Interview - 45 min
