As a Blockchain Research Analyst at Validation, you will be responsible for conducting deep structured research on cutting edge businesses, projects, and protocols in the Web3 ecosystem. Further, you will play a fundamental role in informing Validation’s business development and investment strategies through your analysis and recommendations to the executive management team. Depending on aptitude and performance, you may also play a critical role in Validation’s potential asset management division, which is part of the company’s expansion ambitions.

Responsibilities

  • Identify strategic business, investment, and technology opportunities through engaging with protocol teams, as well as conducting independent research and analysis to assess credibility and future potential
  • Gain a deep understanding of various relevant aspects of the crypto industry including technology, legal, regulatory, economic, and protocol background details
  • Prepare written research reports & analysis at the direction of the executive management team
  • Assist in developing proprietary review processes, as well as qualitative & quantitative analyses to recognize potential strategic and financial opportunities for the company
  • Proactively stay informed about market trends, opportunities, risks and new projects
  • Interact with project teams and industry subject matter experts to collect information and intelligence
  • Maintain protocol information and awareness of current and upcoming events, including: tracking upgrades, governance proposals, and various communication channels

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements
  • 3+ years of work experience in a role relating to (but not limited to) Research, Corporate Finance, Investments, Venture Capital or M&A
  • Strong analytical skills and in-depth knowledge of existing blockchain projects
  • Ability to synthesize and articulate complex topics and provide concise summaries to senior executives
  • Exceptional financial modeling and written communication skills
  • Demonstrable academic excellence (in any discipline, though Math, Computer Science, Economics, or Game Theory would be highly preferred), and high energy, interest, and desire to learn
