Are you a precision-obsessed accountant who wants to own financial operations at one of the most exciting crypto infrastructure companies in the space?
As Senior Accountant, you'll be the operational backbone of our Finance function - managing the full accounting cycle across multiple entities and jurisdictions, keeping payment runs running like clockwork, and mentoring a junior team member. You won't just maintain the status quo; in your first six months, you'll help us build a next-generation, LLM-based financial analysis layer that transforms how we understand our costs and revenue.
You'll report directly to the Head of Finance and collaborate closely with legal and operations. If you're someone who gets genuinely bothered by a miscategorised expense - this is the role for you.
Location: Remote within Europe. Applications outside this region will not be considered.
Own payments end-to-end
Execute payment runs every 3–4 days across bank accounts, Moss, Request Finance, and all crypto invoices — both off-chain and on-chain
Ensure outgoing payment transactions run smoothly and that receipts are collected and reconciled properly
Monitor adherence to internal control processes for every payment cycle
Keep pre-accounting data airtight
Review, edit, and approve all items entering Moss before they go to the external accountant
Manage the billing mailbox, ensuring every document is captured, routed, and coded correctly
Act as the last line of defence on data accuracy - if something's off, you'll catch it
Run the full accounting cycle
Manage accurate general ledger accounts and financial statements for entities under German, BVI, and Cayman Islands jurisdictions
Oversee monthly and annual financial closings including reconciliations, postings, and coordination with external service providers for crypto and fiat transactions
Manage intercompany accounting processes, including transfer pricing documentation and compliance
Ensure adherence to HGB and IFRS accounting standards and support international regulatory and tax compliance
Systems, reporting, and audits
Work with Moss to further automate accounting workflows and reduce manual effort
Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies; prepare financial reports, forecasts, and analyses for internal and external stakeholders
Mentor and lead
Support and develop a junior team member - reviewing their work, building their skills, and holding the team's output to a high standard
What makes a great candidate
Accounting experience
5+ years of professional accounting experience, ideally in an international or crypto-focused environment
Comfortable with expense management tools like Moss or Ramp
Solid understanding of intercompany accounting and transfer pricing
Fluent in English, both written and spoken. German language skills are a plus.
Mindset and working >
A perfectionist when it comes to data accuracy — especially pre-accounting — you find errors before they cascade
Hands-on and not above getting into the details; this is an operational role as much as a strategic one
Technically savvy with a genuine interest in AI and automation — ideally you're already using LLMs in your workflow
Startup experience: autonomous, adaptable, and comfortable with ambiguity
Domain knowledge
Interest in and ideally experience with crypto and digital asset accounting — on-chain payment runs won't faze you
Comfortable managing multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction operations
Experience with Request Finance is a nice to have, not a requirement
Experience working with remote, cross-functional teams across time zones is a plus
Company culture
-
Embracing the differences
Embrace your own differences
Respect and welcome the unique qualities of others
See others’ differences as an opportunity to grow
-
Own it, do it
Own tasks end-to-end
Hold yourself to a high bar for execution
Make bold decisions, and be accountable
Understand your limitations and seek for help
-
Fail forward
Try - don’t be afraid to fail
Learn - don’t make the same mistake twice
Adapt - grow with the experience
-
Have fun together
Take the time to get to know and understand each other better
Don’t take yourself too seriously and keep it light-hearted
Fun should be coming from a place of love and respect
What you’ll get
Annual team offsites (Thailand in 2023 and Vietnam in 2024 were a blast, Marrakech in March 2025 was blast-ier; let’s see what happens in 2026!)
30 days of PTO
Flexible remote days
Flexible working hours
Equity participation from day 1
Entitlement to work computer (choice of equipment)
An annual 1,000€ personal development budget once you have worked 6+ months (pro-rated the first year)
A one-time 1,000€ remote budget to use on coworking, office setup, etc.
If you join us as an independent contractor, you’re only entitled to the first five benefits of this list.
This role is engaged via employer of record (EOR) or independent contractor arrangement.
