As a Paid Search Director, you will oversee all aspects of our paid search campaigns across key search engine platforms like Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising and Apple Search Ads amongst others. Your primary responsibility will be to grow global user acquisition for both web and app. You will work cross-functionally with organic marketing, data, and analytics teams to ensure cohesive and effective strategies. Additionally, you will lead, mentor, and grow a team of paid social specialists, championing innovative strategies and best practices.

Responsibilities

    • Oversee and manage all paid search campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Apple Search Ads, and SA360, ensuring high performance and scalability across multiple platforms.
    • Drive innovative, data-driven user acquisition strategies for both web and app platforms, balancing growth in quality and quantity while maximizing ROI.
    • Develop and execute best-in-class paid search strategies focused on global user acquisition, with an emphasis on English-speaking markets such as the US, UK, and Canada.
    • Develop strategic recommendations for Head of UA stakeholders, aligning paid social efforts with broader marketing and business goals.
    • Collaborate closely with organic marketing, product, analytics, and data science teams to create unified, cross-channel marketing strategies that align with business goals.
    • Lead by example with a hands-on approach to campaign execution, optimization, and reporting while managing and mentoring a team of 1-2 paid search specialists.
    • Optimize complex operations at scale, leveraging industry-leading paid search methodologies, tools, and platforms to deliver exceptional performance.
    • Maintain a meticulous focus on budget allocation and pacing across campaigns to ensure optimal ROI and achievement of KPIs.
    • Lead regular A/B and multivariate testing to optimize ad performance, targeting, creative, and conversion rates by optimising Landing Pages, Copy keywords/audiences.
    • Stay ahead of industry trends, search engine updates, and innovations in fintech user behavior to ensure campaigns remain competitive and high-performing.
    • Perform competitive analysis and benchmarking to identify gaps and opportunities in the fintech market, making adjustments to strategies as needed.
    • Partner with data and analytics teams to build dashboards, analyze performance metrics, and identify trends, ensuring actionable insights inform all decisions.
    • Prepare and present clear, detailed reports on campaign performance, market insights, and forward-looking strategies to key stakeholders and leadership teams.
    • Act as a subject matter expert on paid search within the fintech vertical.

Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, or a related field.
    • 7+ years of experience in paid search marketing with a strong emphasis on web user acquisition.
    • Experience in TradFi or Crypto, i-gaming or sports is a plus.
    • Deep expertise in Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Apple Search Ads, and SA360, with demonstrated success in scaling campaigns globally.
    • Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
    • Experience managing multi million $ budgets effectively across multiple channels and platforms to achieve aggressive growth targets.
    • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, including the ability to mentor, inspire, and guide a small team while also excelling as an individual contributor.
    • Proficiency using tools like Google Analytics, Looker, Tableau, or other reporting platforms.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate performance metrics and strategy to senior stakeholders.
