Thirdwave is looking for a unicorn to join us as a full stack data scientist. Our ideal candidate is someone who thinks and understands from data source to data insight. When presented with large amounts of data, you know how to structure it, clean it, transform it, analyze it, visualize it, and use it to tell stories. You like games and emerging technologies like Blockchains and are passionate about shaping the industry.
What You'll Achieve
As the first IC and a founding member of the Data Science team, your immediate focus will be on designing and building the foundations. As we collect more Blockchain data, it’ll need to be stored and processed efficiently. Once the data is there, dive into it and identify insightful behaviors and trends. You’ll wear many hats and have a lot of autonomy. Shape and influence the future of the team, product, and the company.
You Will Also
Design and implement data tables and pipelines
Analyze billions of Blockchain events
Collaborate with executives and stakeholders to develop new analyses and insights
Contribute to technology decisions
About You
- Familiarity with common BI an analytics tools
- Knowledge of advanced statistical analysis techniques
- Fast learner, self-starter, go-getter, and intellectually curious
- Strong communicator
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a full-stack data science environment
- 5+ years of SQL experience
- 5+ years of Python experience
- 5+ years working with data, designing and implementing tables and pipelines and dashboards
Preferred Qualifications
- An advanced degree or a degree in a relevant discipline
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Graph databases)
- Experience working with Agile and Kanban frameworks
