Cake Defi is building out a new team based in Bangalore to help us shape our data infrastructure on the operations, finance, HR, marketing and customer support side.

We are looking for experienced data scientists who are passionate about crypto/blockchain and are keen to help us build a strong data core to power our growth.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics.

• 5+ years of experience working in an analytics or data science field.

• Experience with coding in Python or R.

• Affinity with crypto/blockchain.

• Engage with and manage stakeholders at various levels and in various functions.

Preferred qualifications:

• Masters or PhD in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or a similar field.

• Experience in consulting and services within Business Intelligence and Analytics.

• Experience with analytic software tools and languages (e.g., SQL, R, TensorFlow, Python, SAS, etc.) and an understanding of the statistical algorithms used in Marketing Analytics.

Your focus areas will be:

Data Infrastructure

• Build out our operations data infrastructure to ensure availability of reliable and up-to-date information

• Develop data pipelines and infrastructure to scale and automate the analyses that enable rapid product iteration

• Devise data mining process and architecture, as well as bring in the right tools on top

Functional focus

• Act as a strategic partner to our Marketing team; initiate and execute on data-driven analyses to help prioritize opportunities and provide actionable recommendations

• Build a fresh marketing funnel analytics solution to provide our marketing team with the best direction around ROI focused channels

• Provide HR and Finance with all the right performance insights

• Prototype new analytics & machine learning models that improve both our business insights and the efficiency of our internal processes

• Help us build analytics and intelligence into our KYC and customer support processes

This is an opportunity to play a key role in a fast-growing and high-scale crypto startup company distributed across Asia and Europe with our main headquarter in Singapore.

You’ll be helping us grow from 120 to multi-hundred people over the next few years and will build an entire foundation for data driven decision making. You are based in Bangalore or willing to relocate there.
