An exciting opportunity has come about for Head of Compliance & Risk Manager to join Celsius Network Compliance team which has plans to expand globally.

Head Compliance and Risk Manager

The key responsibilities of this Global role will be to support Celsius’ Compliance program, managing our DeFi Compliance and Risk framework, and provide solution led expert advice and guidance for business. 

You will also be responsible for supporting the MLRO and Head of Transaction Monition with analytical and reporting activity for Celsius’ DeFi activities. 

This is an exciting and varied role working alongside our Compliance Team to ensure our business is protected. 

What will you be doing?

• Monitoring DeFi activities and ensure that they fall in line with Celsius’s Compliance and Risk framework
• Ensuring internal guidelines are put  in place accurately adhering to regulations and industry rules 
• Conducting Risk Assessments on DeFi Exchanges and Liquidity Pools
• Overseeing the preparation of weekly and monthly compliance reports relating to DeFi for presentation to Risk Committee
• Presenting to Chief Compliance Officer and MLRO regularly on compliance and risk issues relating to DeFi
• Being responsible for policies and procedures on Compliance and Risk relating to DeFI, particularly the process of quarterly review - proposing improvements to manage risks
• Participating in the further development of Celsius’ DeFi risk assessment framework
• To take ownership of the DeFi Risk Register
• To investigate all breaches and near breaches of DeFi compliance processes, and report these to the Chief Compliance Officer and MLRO 
• Produce accurate, timely and relevant MI for Global compliance

We tend to look for people with:

First and foremost, a positive attitude and a passion for learning along with:

• Experience working for a DeFi platform, or within a firm providing Liquidity to DeFi platforms

• Compliance awareness with a good understanding of the compliance challenges facing the business
• An understanding of the impact of wider compliance issues on the business
  
• Ability to challenge and influence business decisions
  

Desirable:

• Relevant business knowledge and experience across multiple regions, distribution channels or entities
• Relevant qualification (ICA/ACAMS)
