About this role

Syntropy is a Layer 1 blockchain that powers real-time data infrastructure on any chain. Its foundation is the Data Layer, a protocol that enables chain-agnostic data composability in real-time through utilizing a novel, modular smart contract architecture.

We are searching for an experienced Community Lead to join our project full-time. Your mission will be to develop and enrich our community globally. In collaboration with our Marketing and Product teams, you'll manage and grow our presence on platforms like Discord and Telegram, embody brand ambassadorship, and spearhead engaging events and content strategies. This role demands a mastery of Discord, a data-driven approach to engagement analytics, deep knowledge of crypto and Web3 culture, the ability to onboard and manage a global team of part-time and full-time community managers, and experience in building and executing community programs, including contests, questing, community events, and other activities.

You will join a company filled with like-minded people who understand the purpose and impact of our project, and you will help to fulfill that purpose. Find out more at https://www.syntropynet.com/.

We're remote-first, so you can be based anywhere, as long as you have a good alignment with European time zones.

Main responsibilities

  • Leading Global Community Growth: Develop and execute strategies to introduce and expand the community globally in collaboration with marketing and product teams.
  • Discord Management: Focus on the development and growth of our Discord server, employing an international, language-specific strategy to cater to diverse communities.
  • Event Management: Plan, execute, and review community events and immersive online experiences aimed at fostering connectivity and enhancing community engagement.
  • Influencer Collaboration: Forge and nurture relationships with industry influencers and leaders to broaden the community's reach and bolster its reputation.
  • Growth Analytics: Apply analytics to gauge community engagement and satisfaction, continuously refining strategies for enhanced performance.
  • Trend Monitoring: Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in community management to ensure our approaches are cutting-edge and effective.
  • Engagement Programs: Utilize platforms like Zealy, GALXE, Layer3, Moku, and others to design and execute questing activities that stimulate community involvement and foster a deeper connection with our goals and events.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of Web3/Crypto community development experience as a Community Manager, with at least one year in a lead role, preferably with a focus on technical infrastructure protocols.
  • Proven track record of growing Discord communities and managing servers with 20,000+ users.
  • Demonstrated success with a country-by-country approach to scaling international communities, plus experience with managing international agencies.
  • In-depth knowledge of Web3 technology, jargon, projects, and culture, with a special emphasis on Crypto Twitter.
  • Experience onboarding and managing a team of global community managers across different time zones.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to a diverse audience and set the tone in online communities.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt to change quickly, and thrive in a fast-paced setting.

You get

  • A generous salary and a long-term token package.
  • A piece of the Syntropy pie - semi-annual cryptocurrency bonuses in NOIA - Syntropy’s own token.
  • An annual budget for your professional & personal development.
  • 12 days per year dedicated for your professional development.
  • Remote-first environment (you’re still welcome to come to one of our offices, but you choose!)
