About the role:

We seek a Jr. Ecosystem Analyst who is deeply well-versed in various Web3 domains, understands the art of crafting compelling investment narratives, and has an extensive network of founders, VCs, accelerators, and angel investors in the Indian region. You will collaborate closely with the ecosystem, grants, and product teams to stay ahead of the curve and drive grant investment decisions that support cutting-edge Web3 products. Your role will involve identifying promising early to mid-stage projects that have the potential to onboard millions of users and demonstrate the power of a seamless Web3 experience.

What you'll be doing:

  • Scope the horizon for innovative Web3 projects across diverse web3 domains like SocialFi, DeFi, GameFi, DAOs, and NFTs while focusing on high user growth potential.
  • Deeply understand each project's technical and market aspects, evaluating its technology, tokenomics, team, and market demand.
  • Create persuasive investment memos that articulate the potential of each project and align it with Aptos' strategic vision.
  • Build relationships with founders, VCs, and other key players in the Indian Web3 ecosystem.
  • Track emerging trends and market signals to inform investment decisions and support portfolio companies.
  • Work closely with portfolio companies, offering support and mentorship and becoming integral to their success story.
  • Analyze market data, competitor landscape, and user behaviour to optimize strategies and maximize returns for Aptos and portfolio companies.
  • Develop creative strategies, leveraging research and business development skills and network to secure a continuous flow of promising leads.

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a Master's degree in Business Administration is required.
  • A minimum of two years of working experience in the web3 domain in an investment fund, grants team, family office, prop fund, or an incubator or accelerator is mandatory.
  • Experience in sourcing, analyzing, and supporting early-stage ventures, preferably in the Web3 space, is essential.
  • You must have the ability to cut through the noise.
  • You should deeply understand web3 grants and grants programs and processes across various products and blockchains.
  • Understanding the typical fundraising landscape in the web2 and web3 domains.
  • Established relationships with founders, VCs, and other key players in the Indian Web3 ecosystem are preferred.
  • You must be genuinely excited about the potential of Web3 to revolutionize how we interact and value things.

How do I start a Web3 career?

If you're interested in starting a career in Web3, here are a few steps you can take:

  1. First, it's important to gain a solid understanding of the underlying technologies that make up the Web3 ecosystem, such as blockchain, cryptography, and decentralized networks. You can do this by reading books and articles, taking online courses, or attending workshops and conferences.
  2. Next, you'll want to build a portfolio of projects that showcase your skills and knowledge. This can include creating dApps (decentralized applications) using blockchain platforms such as Ethereum, contributing to open-source projects, or writing articles and tutorials on Web3-related topics.
  3. Networking is also an important part of any career, and the Web3 space is no exception. Attend meetups and conferences, join online communities, and make connections with other professionals in the field. This can help you learn from others, share your own expertise, and potentially find job opportunities.
  4. Finally, consider getting certified in Web3 technologies. There are several organizations that offer certification programs, which can help demonstrate your proficiency and set you apart from other candidates in the job market.
