As a Junior Technical Artist, you will collaborate closely with artists and programmers to assist with asset and pipeline optimizations. Your responsibilities will include implementing technical art features, developing tools and workflows, and debugging processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in setting up and maintaining production pipelines and workflows.
- Develop and test tools to improve artist productivity.
- Ensure assets meet technical requirements by working with Art Leads, Technical Directors, and QA.
- Share best practices and conduct training sessions for the team.
- Integrate, validate, and optimize graphic data in the engine.
- Fix graphic bugs and provide support to other artists.
- Produce and maintain documentation on tools, methods, and processes.
- Assist the QA Team in ensuring assets are bug-free and shippable.
- Uphold Tech Art constraints for visual quality and performance.
- Optimize and profile graphics.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge in areas such as modeling, texturing, scripting, lighting, shaders, VFX rendering, rigging, and animation.
- Experience with game engines, particularly Unreal.
- Familiarity with source control systems like Git, Perforce, or Mercurial.
- Strong understanding of the art production process and workflows.
- Programming knowledge is a plus.
- Familiarity with UI development for tools is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in 3D development software like 3DS Max, Maya, or Blender.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and work collaboratively.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and develop positive relationships within the team.
