Who Are We?

DV Labs is a remote 30+ member research and software development team with a vision to establish a credibly neutral, trust-minimised infrastructure layer for web3. Previously known as Obol Labs, our work on distributed validators (DVs) boosts the security, resilience, and decentralisation of the Ethereum network.

Our values & Culture

We live by our values - we are: reliable, secure, synergistic, and innovative. These values aren't just a set of ideals, they're the foundation of our culture and the key to our success.

At DV Labs, productivity meets work-life balance in perfect harmony - we promote flexibility, trust, and transparency. We believe in connection beyond screens. Our team stays ahead by attending conferences and gathers annually for an offsite event full of collaboration, teamwork, and fun!

The Products

DV Labs develops and maintains three core products:

Charon, a Golang based middleware client enabling multiple nodes or parties to run validators together, in a fault-tolerant manner.

The DV Launchpad, a web interface for launching and managing Distributed Validators.

Obol Splits, a set of solidity contracts assisting with the formation of Distributed Validators, by allowing the ETH bond and validator rewards to be split across multiple parties.

Supporting the Obol Collective

DV Labs supports the Obol Collective: a community dedicated to scaling Ethereum by strengthening the security, resiliency, and decentralisation of the consensus layer through the development and deployment of distributed validators.

As a Full Stack Engineer at DVLabs, this position focuses on the Obol SDK, Obol API and the DV launchpad.
The Launchpad is the primary interface for interacting with the Obol Network, and the infrastructure to back this interface will need to mature and scale as Obol grows into its public mainnet phase. The launchpad is a typescript stack, consisting of React + Next.js on the front end and Nest.js + MongoDB on the back end. At DV Labs, we are constantly seeking to improve our technology stack. Joining in this role you will have a unique opportunity to have a high impact in the technical direction and decisions of the product into the future.

You will be joining a highly agile team, with the ability to take ownership of deliverables and drive quality across the organization. You should be able to work cross functionally and have a desire to get involved across different parts of the technology stack.

This role aims to grow the DV Labs API and Launchpad into the most reliable and rich set of tools for creating, monitoring and analyzing Distributed Validators.

Responsibilities

    • Design, build, and maintain scalable and high-performance API services that can be used across multiple DVLabs or external  services.
    • Design and build rich Web3 experiences using ReactJS, RainbowKit, Ethers.js and more.
    • Collaborate  with our Data Engineering team to provide a suite of endpoints for DV performance, accessible to third parties and the Obol DV Launchpad.
    • Write clean, maintainable code, ensuring Unit and End-to-End (E2E) tests are in place.
    • Enhance the backend API infrastructure of the Launchpad to ensure scalability, robustness, and protection against DDoS, spam, and other attacks.
    • Contribute to the ongoing development of the Obol SDK.

Requirements

    • Professional experience in Node.Js, Next.js  & Typescript.
    • Previous Web3 experience utilizing common tooling such as Hardhat, Ethers.js, Viem, wagmi.
    • Experience working in a distributed remote team.
    • Experience with NoSQL databases.
    • Experience with API design and testing strategies.
    • Ideal Time zone from GMT-2 to GMT+3.

Nice to have

    • Proven contributions to Open Source repo .Experience with event driven architectures, utilizing streaming tools like Apache Kafka.
    • Experience monitoring and debugging production services at scale.
    • Knowledge of core Golang paradigms and concepts.
    • Experience with Goroutines and channel patterns.

Benefits

    • Fully Remote Working & Flexible hours
    • Annual global offsite
    • Generous Paid Time off
    • Budget for Education/Training
    • Budget for equipment
    • Possibility to attend relevant Conferences in the space
Thank you for your interest. Looking forward to building amazing stuff together!

The responsibilities of a full stack web3 developer will vary depending on the specific project and the needs of the team they are working with

In general, though, a full stack web3 developer will be responsible for: designing and building the front-end and back-end of web3 applications, as well as implementing and maintaining the underlying blockchain infrastructure

This will often involve working with a variety of different technologies and programming languages, such as Solidity for smart contract development, JavaScript and HTML for front-end development, and various blockchain protocols and frameworks.
