Powder Labs is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our dynamic consulting team. As a full-service software consultancy, we partner with clients across many industries to build robust, scalable, and accessible software solutions. Our engineers work on diverse projects spanning from native applications, mobile development, web applications to backend and data engineering. This allows our engineers the opportunity to specialize in cutting-edge areas such as health tech, cloud optimization, blockchain technology, and artificial intelligence.


Work Location
  • Fully remote
  • Office locations: Seattle, Washington

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3+ years of experience in software development using modern programming languages
  • 2+ years of experience with full-stack development (front-end and back-end)
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles
  • Experience with modern development practices including version control, CI/CD, and automated testing
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in one or more of our specialty areas:
  • Health tech and HIPAA compliance
  • Distributed systems and cloud architecture
  • Blockchain and cryptocurrency development
  • Artificial intelligence and machine learning
  • Experience with one or more of our frameworks or languages:
  • Next.js or vanilla React
  • Node.js, Golang, Rust or similar modern backends
  • Java, Kotlin, C#, Swift, or React Native for mobile development
  • EVM, Solidity, or other blockchain technologies
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
  • Strong communication skills and experience working directly with clients
  • Previous consulting or client-facing technical role experience
Core Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable software solutions across our client projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, project managers, and other developers
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
  • Participate in technical design discussions and architecture planning
  • Review peer code and provide constructive feedback
  • Work closely with clients to understand requirements and provide technical guidance
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and emerging technologies
