Position Overview:

We are searching for a highly motivated Data Engineer who is looking for a full-time position. This role is open to remote work as our teams are globally distributed. In this role, you must be comfortable working independently and autonomously while establishing a cadence of timely delivery with high-quality work.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Designing and developing data intensive applications
• Automating repeatable processes with solutions that are robust, configurable and scalable
• Integrating real-time data pipelines to acquire/distribute data within the Blockdaemon estate
• Managing and maintaining a Big Data ecosystem
• Deploying solutions in AWS, GCP and other cloud technologies
• Performs other duties as assigned

Skills and Required Qualifications:

• Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology preferred
• Expert level experience in one of the following programming languages - Java, Scala, Python or Go
• Expert level SQL and data warehousing knowledge
• Highly proficient in building data intensive applications
• Experience working with real-time streaming and messaging systems
• Wide experience with relational and non-relational database technologies (PostgreSQL, Cassandra, etc.)
• Strong ability to write reusable, testable, and efficient code
• Experienced in CI/CD development process
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker and Terraform
• Knowledge of Cryptocurrencies preferred
• Knowledge working with cloud infrastructure technology (AWS, GCE, Azure, etc.)
• Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills
• Works well in a fast-paced environment and can pivot from projects as needed
