We’re hiring Rust-first engineers with deep crypto and/or trading backgrounds who care about correctness, performance, and security.

What you’ll do

  • Build and audit smart contracts (SVM or EVM)

  • Design low-latency financial and trading systems

  • Implement cryptographic and protocol-level functionality in Rust

  • Work on systems where correctness is non-negotiable (value at risk, real money flows)

  • Partner with researchers, protocol engineers, and security auditors

What we’re looking for

  • Strong Rust experience in production

  • Experience building smart contracts on Solana or Ethereum

  • Background in quantitative finance, trading, DeFi, or market infrastructure

  • Strong math or numerical reasoning skills

  • Experience working on audited systems or security-critical infrastructure

  • Crypto-native but intellectually serious — not trend-chasing

ABOUT DOUBLEZERO

DoubleZero is a high-performance, permissionless global network purpose-built for distributed systems. The mission is simple: increase bandwidth and reduce latency.

DoubleZero increases bandwidth by filtering junk data that currently plagues validators and other network operators. DoubleZero reduces latency by connecting these filters with underutilized private fiber links in the form of a mesh network. By combining these improvements and routing the right data through optimized, low-latency paths, the DoubleZero protocol empowers blockchains and other systems to reach performance levels that were previously impossible.

In short, DoubleZero is a new Internet for distributed systems. It is supported by two organizations: DoubleZero Foundation, which drives the adoption, decentralization, security, and advancement of the protocol; and Malbec Labs, which develops the technical components of the protocol itself. We look forward to hearing from you.
