Member of Technical Staff, Data Science - Quantitative Research
Technical Skills:
- Serves as a subject matter expert on systematic trading strategies
- Extensive experience with data analysis and statistical modeling
- Strong proficiency in Python or functional programming
- Demonstrates exceptional proficiency in designing and refining trading systems and processes, significantly influencing architectural decisions
Complexity and Impact of Work:
- Skilled in engaging with stakeholders to navigate complex problems, refine product requirements, and deliver innovative solutions
- Capable of operating at the intersection of trading and research, addressing challenges that demand both market domain expertise and rigorous statistical and quantitative analysis
- Defines success metrics and monitors the performance of statistical models to ensure optimal outcomes
- Capable of breaking down larger projects into smaller, actionable tasks, while precisely estimating project timelines and scope. Effectively articulates various strategies, analyzes trade-offs, and justifies and recommends priorities
Organizational Knowledge:
- Actively engages with engineering and business stakeholders to align efforts with Anchorage’s strategic vision, ensuring delivery of projects and initiatives
- Develops and implements programs, projects and processes aligned with Anchorage’s strategic direction and needs

You may be a fit for this role if you have:
- A Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related STEM field, demonstrating a strong foundation in theoretical and applied aspects of your discipline
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to tackle complex problems by applying advanced statistical methods and mathematical models
- Outstanding communication skills, capable of articulating complex quantitative concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, facilitating effective collaboration and knowledge sharing across the organization
- Substantial experience in a quantitative trading environment, with a proven track record of conducting rigorous quantitative research
Although not a requirement, bonus points if you:
- Demonstrate flexibility, curiosity, and a proactive approach to learning and mastering new skill sets, showing adaptability in a quickly evolving environment
- Have hands-on experience with managing and analyzing large datasets in the financial sector

- Compensation at Anchorage Digital is market-driven and data-informed. All full-time employees receive a market-leading salary, meaningful equity, and a generous perks and benefits package.
- Compensation Range: -  $134,530 - $185,490 salary range may be inclusive of multiple regional locations and job grades. This compensation range will be narrowed during the interview process based on skills, abilities, and experience required. ****We partner with third party firms annually to verify equity, cash, benefits, and perks benchmarks.
