About Us

We are ZetaChain, Our mission is to build a Universal Blockchain with native access to any blockchain, making crypto as accessible, diverse, and connected as the internet. Build apps that interact with networks and tokens natively without the need for wrapping or bridging. Or add a smart contract layer to chains, such as Bitcoin.

Now we are onto something new: We are building a new dApps team and we’re building Soul — an AI-powered Web3 app for fortune-telling, identity, and social discovery — and other upcoming consumer-facing products in the blockchain space.

About the Role

You’ll be our first in-house engineer and the technical backbone of our Web3 apps (starting with Soul). You’ll own end-to-end development, from blockchain integrations to backend and frontend, while setting the foundation for our engineering team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical architecture and development of Soul + upcoming apps.

  • Build blockchain integrations: wallet connection, calling smart contracts, data flows.

  • Develop across stack: frontend (React/Next.js), backend (Node.js), infra (Kubernetes/GCP).

  • Establish engineering best practices

  • Mentor future hires.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of fullstack development.

  • Strong blockchain/Web3 experience (Solidity, smart contracts, EVM chains).

  • Familiarity with smart contracts is required but you do not write smart contracts as part of this role

  • Proven track record in consumer apps or startups.

  • Startup mindset: hands-on, independent, fast-moving.

Growth & Culture

  • Shape the engineering vision as our first founding engineer.

  • Work closely with the founder, with exposure to product, design, and strategy.

  • Remote-first culture with async-friendly communication.

  • Opportunity to grow into Head of Engineering as we scale.

  • We’d love to offer token share benefits, so you grow with the company’s success.

What does a React developer in web3 do?

A React developer in the context of web3 is a developer who is using the React JavaScript library to build user interfaces for decentralized applications (dApps) that run on the Ethereum blockchain

These dApps often use smart contracts to facilitate transactions and other interactions on the Ethereum network

Overall, the role of a React developer in web3 involves using your skills in React development to help build cutting-edge decentralized applications that leverage the power of the Ethereum blockchain

As a React developer in web3, some of your responsibilities might include:

  • Integrating the dApp with the Ethereum blockchain. This might involve using tools like web3.js and Ethers.js to connect to the Ethereum network and interact with smart contracts.
  • Building the user interface for a dApp using React. This could involve creating components for the various elements of the dApp, such as buttons, forms, and other input elements.
  • Implementing features that are specific to decentralized applications, such as handling cryptocurrency transactions and displaying data from the blockchain in a user-friendly way.
  • Collaborating with other members of the development team, such as blockchain engineers and designers, to ensure that the dApp functions properly and meets the needs of the end users.
