The role :
As a Senior Quantitative Developer with a strong focus on smart contracts development, you will build and maintain major technical features, through inception, design, implementation and launch, working closely with product and engineering disciplines across the company. You will spend the majority of your time on cross-functional, self-contained product teams focused on delivering value to the customer, while other projects will be more internally focused on integrations, scalability, and performance. The candidate should be passionate about innovation, reliability, and performance, and have a keen interest in cryptocurrency and financial trading.
Some recent exciting projects include:
- Building high throughput interaction with a ZK-Rollup (that operates as a layer 2 network) that balances rapid submission of transactions and variability of transaction processing time
- Implementing an on-chain derivatives risk engine for cryptocurrency derivatives
Responsibilities :
- Lead the design and implementation of a decentralized clearing protocol for crypto derivatives trading. This includes developing, testing, and deploying the smart contracts needed to do so.
- Own monitoring, escalating, analytics, and reporting on all services you build, ensuring high performance and responsiveness
- Conduct research and development to improve trading performance.
- Conduct rigorous testing of the trading system to ensure high quality and reliability.
Requirements :
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience, ideally building products from ideation to launch with a strong engineering team
- Demonstrable, in-depth knowledge and experience with at least one modern language such as Python, Golang, C++
- Experience in smart contract development using languages such as Solidity or Rust.
- Strong understanding of financial markets and experience with trading systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to have :
- Experience building a trading systems or a risk engine
- Deep knowledge of the cryptocurrency ecosystem (BTC, ETH, etc.) and underlying technologies (blockchain, PoW, PoS, etc.)
- Interest and understanding of L1/L2 blockchain technology and ZK-Rollups
