Career Renew is recruiting for one of its clients, a company that aims to build the first perpetuals DEX purpose-engineered for Real World Assets, beginning with commodities and forex, a Smart Contract Engineer (Hybrid) in New York or London.
We’re hiring an experienced Solidity Smart Contract Engineer to help co-lead development with our CTO and founding engineer. You’ll work closely with the team and be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain and EVM L2s (Arbitrum, Optimism)
- Collaborate with other team members, including our product head, designers, and back-end developers to iterate on protocol architecture
- Ensure the quality, reliability, and security of the smart contract code through unit testing and code reviews
- Implement and maintain smart contract codebase, incorporating changes as necessary based on feedback and user requirements
- Assist with project management, including the creation of project plans, timelines, and milestones, and the tracking of progress against those plans
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in Solidity smart contract development, including exchange architecture design
- Deep knowledge of smart contract security vulnerabilities and best practices for avoiding them
- Have experience deploying smart contracts on Ethereum and EVM L2s
- Strong understanding of the DeFi ecosystem, including knowledge of other blockchain platforms and protocols
- Basic knowledge of economics of AMMs, CLOBs and other liquidity architectures in DeFi
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a passion for tackling complex technical challenges
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Must be able to work in NYC or London every 3 months (for 2 weeks min)
