This role will be responsible for crypto trading across a broad range of instruments and investment vehicles, including ETFs, private placement trusts, and hedging Grayscale’s digital asset exposure through the use of derivatives. Successful candidates will have experience as a corporate derivatives trader (front office) and/or operations (middle office) role, with a strong risk management mindset. The Digital Asset Trader will have a unique opportunity to play a strong role in shaping the framework of managing Grayscale’s corporate crypto exposure, products, and P&L. Responsibilities:

Monitor digital asset price risk and execute the monetization of Grayscale's management fees (corporate crypto exposure) and related trading strategies with spot, forward/futures, and options. Recommend improvements to existing trading practices across the types of strategies, tools, and systems to utilized to manage risk. Execute cryptocurrency trades efficiently and consistently in a timely fashion in connection with the operations of Grayscale's products from inception of the trade through settlement. Collaborate with and support operations team members to track and post collateral / margin as needed. Operate trading systems, monitoring execution, and interacting with trading partners/counterparties. Communicate with other team members to inform risk and treasury management decisions. Work with colleagues in portfolio management, trading, operations, and engineering to improve trading operations and systems including automation. Contributing to pre- and post-trade analysis to inform the improvement of current strategies. Continuously educating yourself on the rapidly evolving cryptocurrency market to help drive the evolution of the trading function.

Prior Experience/Requirements:

4-8 years of experience at leading financial institutions trading and/or settling derivatives through exchanges, order-routing systems, and OTC desks. Experience trading cryptocurrency and/or corporate/treasury risk exposure strongly preferred. Bachelor's or Master's degree from top-tier university. Strong skills in Excel, Bloomberg, and investment analytical tools; working knowledge or familiarity with programming languages such as Python/SQL a plus. Working knowledge of ISDA agreements. Strong verbal and written communication skills to be able to describe sophisticated problems and solutions in simple and digestible terms. Exceptional conceptual, quantitative, and analytical abilities with attention to detail. Ability to manage trading strategy, risk, and trading relationships. Ability to multi-task and prioritize work independently in a fast-paced environment. High degree of professional discretion, integrity, and judgement. Entrepreneurial drive and a team player.
