Null is creating a new DeFi primitive: create a leverage market on anything; on any asset, yield stream, or financial product or metric, expanding what’s possible in trustless finance.

We are a small pre-seed team backed by leading crypto investors and some of the founding architects of Uniswap. We operate with deep conviction in crypto’s first principles: open systems, trustless architecture, decentralization, and user sovereignty.

The Role
At Null, we believe the line between the product and the brand is invisible. We’re looking for a designer to own the entire visual spectrum, from brand identity to our web application.

As our Product and Brand Designer, you'll be a pivotal member of our team, defining the strategic direction for our visual identity and owning the design process by creating beautiful, user-centric experiences. You’ll execute the full design process, from discovery to launch, and shape the design system that powers both our brand surfaces and our web application.


Key Responsibilities

• Work 1-on-1 with the CEO on developing and refining the product's vision and manifestation. 
• Evolve the Null brand identity and translate it into high-impact marketing surfaces that turn complex DeFi concepts into intuitive retail experiences.
• Collaborate with management to define and prioritize features, ensuring alignment with user needs and business objectives.
• Work closely with engineering teams to ensure seamless implementation of design solutions while maintaining high standards of quality and consistency.
• Build and maintain a scalable Figma design system that lets us ship fast without compromising aesthetics.
• Actively participate in design critiques, contributing to the continuous improvement of the team's design processes and outputs.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 3+ years full-time Product Designer experience.
• 2+ years of full-time experience in designing consumer-facing experiences for the web.
• A strong portfolio showcasing a proven track record of designing and shipping successful digital products.
• Ability to create thoughtful UI and UX, and written communication to both frame and explain concepts.
• The ability to navigate complex, ambiguous problems and break them down into actionable steps.
• Thrive in uncertainty and challenges: proactive, hands-on, self-starter, and perseverant.
• Deeply curious about and interested in the Web3 space.
• Collaborative and open-minded.

Nice to Have

• Strong intellectual curiosity and honesty.
• Motion/micro-interactions; iconography/visual systems.
• Familiarity with front-end development (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to better collaborate with engineers.
• Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, or a related field.
