Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced backend developer to be part of our wallet engineering team. In this position you will join forces with an experienced team of software developers and applied cryptographers. Together you will create secure, scalable, and user-friendly products based on state-of-the-art MPC technology. The position offers the opportunity to dive into a diverse set of topics such as cryptography, blockchains, consensus algorithms, cross-chain messaging, and decentralized applications.
You’ll participate in backend architecture decisions and guide team members in technical knowledge with best practices, developing and executing on new features and product initiatives with a commitment to excellence in code quality. This role will report into a technical engineering manager and work closely with product and engineering teams to support company goals and initiatives.
Your Impact
Developing various applications and services ranging from rapid prototypes to large-scale applications across Blockdaemon’s wallet products.
Leveraging cloud based systems (ideally AWS or Azure) to deploy and maintain technical solutions across multiple environments.
Ensuring code quality and maintainability by reviewing, testing and debugging code amongst peers.
Staying up to speed with new and emerging technologies, industry shifts, and engineering best practices.
Attending and supporting various agile ceremonies, such as standups and retrospectives.
Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Role Requirements
Master’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or related technology field or 5+ years of professional experience writing backend applications.
Highly proficient with Golang programming.
Good knowledge of web environment, API designs, GRPC, HTTP, REST, WebSockets.
Wide experience with database, caching and queuing technologies.
Hands-on experience with Cryptocurrencies and Blockchain technologies.
Strong ability to write reusable, testable, and efficient code.
Nice-To-Have Skills
Experienced in CI/CD development process.
AWS CDK, Pulumi, or other infrastructure as code tools
Knowledge working with cloud infrastructure technology (AWS, Azure, etc.).
