About Synapse Labs
Synapse Protocol is a decentralised interchain network, allowing developers and users to read and write data between different blockchains. To date, it has settled $50B, been used by more then 2M users and generated $30M+ in fees. Synapse’s vision is to be the HTTPS for crypto, allowing developers to build apps without the constraints of individual blockchains.
The Synapse Labs team was a major contributor to Synapse and works on new products to expand the Synapse ecosystem. Our team has hubs in New York City and London with the option to be partially or fully remote depending on the position.

Work closely with other engineers to develop robust end to end services across stacks
Architect, build, and deploy the back-end systems, services, and APIs that power our infrastructure products.
What you bring:
Backend distributed systems experience
Full lifecycle system development with Go
Experience developing applications optimized for deployment and management via microservices
Track record of successfully delivering complex and high-scale software systems
Crypto Native: A deep understanding of blockchains and blockchain developer tooling

What does a back-end developer in Web3 do?
A back-end developer in web3 typically works on the server-side of a web application, using technologies that are specific to the decentralized web (also known as Web3-related)
This might involve building and maintaining the infrastructure that supports decentralized applications (dApps), or developing the underlying smart contracts and blockchain-based systems that power those dApps
In general, the goal of a back-end developer in web3 is to create the technologies and tools that enable users to interact with the decentralized web in a secure and seamless way.
