About Electron Labs
Electron Labs is building a protocol to make various blockchains interoperable. We have developed a new tech in-house called Bi-Directional Light Client that enables verification of cross-chain transactions cheaply and trustless-ly.
As our first product, we are building a bridge between Cosmos and NEAR (a project sponsored by the NEAR blockchain). We work very closely with the core engineering team at NEAR.
What will you work on?
- As a backend, your job will be to build the bridge relayer. This means you will set up the infrastructure that sends data between the NEAR and Cosmos blockchain and keeps them in sync.
- To see the design details of the bridge, please see: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1HxCG7KeHEwo1gthKnEkD2uRZUXX04qNwyVcePeycDy0/edit?usp=sharing
- You will work with a team of 6 engineers including a Senior rust engineer, golang engineer, front-end engineer, QnA engineer, etc. We have a solid team to get you up to speed in blockchain concepts.
Technical Qualifications
- Proven track record of delivering projects with high-quality UI.
- You must have built the tech stack for application(s) that was successfully launched.
- You are highly capable at React, Vue, NodeJS, MySQL, MongoDB, and REST web services (please only apply if you have at least 2-3 years of experience with these) Experience in developing web-based applications, libraries, and microservices using Javascript/ Typescript
- Exposure to CI/CD, AWS is a plus
Electron Labs focuses on Technology and Blockchains. Their company has offices in Gurgaon and New Delhi. They have a small team that's between 11-50 employees. To date, Electron Labs has raised $500k of funding; their latest round was closed on February 2022.

What does a back-end developer in Web3 do?
A back-end developer in web3 typically works on the server-side of a web application, using technologies that are specific to the decentralized web (also known as Web3-related)
This might involve building and maintaining the infrastructure that supports decentralized applications (dApps), or developing the underlying smart contracts and blockchain-based systems that power those dApps
In general, the goal of a back-end developer in web3 is to create the technologies and tools that enable users to interact with the decentralized web in a secure and seamless way.
