About Us:

Waterfall is an auctions and derivatives trading market for NFTs. Currently, there are no effective market makers for NFTs due to the lack of pricing, and we are looking to solve this problem through derivatives (e.g. futures) on top of NFTs to enable widespread price speculation on any NFT.

We are a small, fast-paced team and recently raised a $4M seed round led by Electric Capital and Pantera Capital. We are passionate about building an inclusive and diverse team culture to make Waterfall a company that’s fun, interesting, and proud to be a part of.

Requirements:

Applicants are required to have experience with database design and writing production code; exceptional backgrounds are welcomed. Experience programming and debugging in one or more of the following languages/frameworks:

• Python • PostgreSQL • AWS • Cloudfront • Docker

• Bonuses: Solidity, Go, or Rust

Responsibilities:

• Design technical implementations of the Web-app • Integrate with various APIs • Develop applications • Research and be caught up with new blockchain technologies • Write code with good practice and clear documentation • Suggest ideas and improvements on potential features • Debug and test code • Be flexible with schedule and duties • Collaborate with team members

If you are motivated and eager to take on the novel and challenging problem of pricing NFTs, we'd love to hear from you. Even if you are unconfident about certain skillsets but are passionate about the problem and willing to learn, apply anyway!

In general, the goal of a back-end developer in web3 is to create the technologies and tools that enable users to interact with the decentralized web in a secure and seamless way.
