We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer to join a team of high qualification and technical excellence for one of the most challenging projects in the Bitcoin and FinTech industry worldwide.

RSK (Rootstock) is an open-source, decentralized and peer-to-peer network that brings smart contracts to the Bitcoin ecosystem. It is the first one to provide the possibility of running Ethereum smart contracts in Bitcoin, using bitcoin as its native cryptocurrency, and leveraging Bitcoin's hashing power. RSK is one of the most exciting projects in the crypto and blockchain space!

RSK HSM team’s main responsibility is to maintain and evolve the hardware wallets (HSMs) firmware, that the RSK pegnatories use to cooperatively store funds and fulfill the bridge between the RSK and the Bitcoin networks. This, in turn, is what then enables RSK to use Bitcoin as its native currency. People in this team have a great understanding of algorithms and data types, lower-level programming languages and techniques, embedded systems programming and also of how both the RSK and the Bitcoin protocols work.

IOV Labs embraces diversity and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer open to all qualified applicants regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity or expression, Veteran status, or any other legally protected status.

Do blockchain developers work from home?

Yes, many blockchain developers work from home, especially in the current times where remote work has become more common due to the pandemic

The nature of blockchain development allows developers to work from anywhere in the world as long as they have a good internet connection and the necessary tools to do their work

In fact, many blockchain companies have fully remote teams and offer flexible work arrangements

This allows them to hire talented developers from all over the world without being limited by geographical location

However, it's important to note that not all blockchain development jobs are remote

Some companies may prefer to have their developers work on-site for security or other reasons

So, it's important to carefully read the job description and requirements before applying to ensure that you're comfortable with the work arrangements.
