We are looking for a talented and self-driven sales professional to expand our presence and customer base in Victoria and other regions of Australia. This is a remote role based in Melbourne and will likely involve some travel around Australia and Southeast Asia. It is ideal for a motivated individual who thrives in an autonomous environment while maintaining strong connections with our Sydney-based team.

Reporting to the Group Head of Business Development in Sydney, you will collaborate closely with our OTC Desk, Marketing, KYC, Compliance and Support teams to achieve growth objectives. You will play a pivotal role in driving revenue by identifying opportunities, onboarding new clients, building long-term relationships and driving new investment into the world of cryptocurrency.

Initially, you will spend time in our Sydney office to gain a solid understanding of our company culture, core values, and customer-focused sales approach. A broad role across a range of sectors, some of the key responsibilities will include:

  • Serving as the primary liaison for Melbourne-based clients, collaborating with our Sydney team to ensure their successful onboarding, activation, and long-term retention.
  • Identifying and qualifying high-potential prospects, including asset managers, institutional investors, and family offices.
  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with business objectives to drive growth.
  • Using exceptional lead-generation and relationship-building skills to acquire new clients and promote sustainable business growth.
  • Managing a pipeline of high-value opportunities, guiding prospects through the entire sales cycle, from initial contact to deal closure.
  • Facilitating the timely onboarding of clients to the OTC trading desk and maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Staying ahead of industry trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory requirements to adjust strategies effectively.
  • Tracking and analysing sales performance metrics, using insights to identify areas for improvement and inform strategic decisions.
  • Representing Independent Reserve at industry events, webinars, and networking opportunities.
  • Working with the Marketing team to explore and leverage growth opportunities through social media and other lead-generation channels.


About you

Skills and experience we are looking for:

  • A genuine passion for Crypto and the ability to quickly build on existing knowledge of the crypto ecosystem. Industry experience would be great but is not essential.
  • Ideally, at least 2-3 years of B2B sales and business development experience in financial services, payments, or investment sectors. FX experience would be advantageous.
  • Demonstrated success in managing a full sales cycle, from qualification to closing.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage key stakeholders.
  • A proactive and entrepreneurial approach to outbound sales initiatives and a talent for presenting.
  • The ability to think creatively and solve problems effectively.
  • The tenacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and market opportunities.

  • CRM (HubSpot) experience.
