The Role
Magic is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our infrastructure team, responsible for building out all that powers both (i) our internal development teams (CI/CD, staging/load testing environments, etc) and (ii) our growing line of external products (Magic Auth/Connect). The Infrastructure Engineering Manager will be responsible for the teamās execution and ability to ship high quality software in a fast paced challenging environment. You will navigate challenges such as building out infrastructure to provide high availability (99.99%) in high, bursty load scenarios (i.e NFT drops). You will work with the team to set the technical direction and roadmap, ensuring the right process and technology are in place to enable user onboarding. You will help cultivate the growth of our engineers and empower team members to succeed in fulfilling career goals at Magic.

You Will
- Manage and coach a team(s) of talented infrastructure Engineers.
- Own the team's technical roadmap and direction, developing standards to drive success.
- Manage the development of scalable and reliable systems to support our diverse engineering teams as well as our products.
- Evaluate and introduce new technologies, processes and policies when necessary.
- Partner with other engineering and product teams and department stakeholders to align on and drive forward broader engineering and company initiatives.
- Own the architecture and development of system components to improve monitoring, alerting and stability with compliance and security in mind.
- 4+ years of DevOps/SRE/infrastructure experience working in a public cloud environment (Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure, CloudFlare)
- 3+ years of experience managing an Infrastructure team
- Expert skills in containerization technologies (K8s and Docker)
- Experience in building and implementing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Circle CI, Travis CI, AWS codePipeline/codeBuild or similar
- Hands-on DevOps experience in the production environment with deep knowledge of modern SRE skills and concepts (Monitoring, SLAs, Observability, Automation, etc.)
- Production experience in system design, disaster recovery/multi-region setups, networking and virtual cloud implementation
- Production experience with Hashicorp products (Terraform, Vault, etc.)
- Have experience in blockchain node management (Ethereum, Bitcoin and similar)
- Experience in Linux/Unix system administration
- Proficient in shell scripting and Python or Go
- Experience in monitoring tools (Splunk, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana.)
- Have worked with serverless stack (FaaS)
