We are seeking a passionate and hands-on Head of Community Marketing to lead our efforts in building a community of fanatics around Magic Eden. This leader must deeply love and engage with the Magic Eden community, serving as a role model for authentic connection and advocacy. Beyond setting the vision and strategic roadmap, this person will roll up their sleeves to personally engage with users and ensure our community thrives. They will also recruit, manage, and develop a world-class team of community managers, fostering a culture of excellence and ownership. The ideal candidate will be a thought leader in community and ecosystem development, experienced in scaling communities, and driven to create unparalleled loyalty and engagement within the Web3 space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap for community and ecosystem growth aligned with company-wide goals.

  • Develop scalable frameworks to foster an engaged, loyal, and value-driven community.

  • Be hands-on in engaging with the community, role-modeling key behaviors, and setting the standard for engagement

  • Galvanize and activate core community contributors using a full suite of activation tactics, including partnerships, community marketing, and grant programs.

  • Integrate community feedback and insights into product, marketing, and organizational strategies.

  • Establish KPIs and analyze metrics to measure the success of initiatives, refining strategies as needed.

  • Coach, grow, and act as a role model for a high-performing team of community managers, fostering innovation and impact.

  • Oversee content creation and campaigns to drive engagement, education, and brand loyalty.

  • Plan and execute high-impact virtual events and thought leadership initiatives to strengthen the ecosystem.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in community leadership, ecosystem development, with 4+ years in a team lead role in a crypto company Deep understanding of blockchain, DeFi, NFTs, or Web3 ecosystems, with a proven track record of building and scaling communities in the crypto space.

  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing high-impact community and ecosystem marketing strategies.

  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with experience collaborating across senior leadership.

  • Advanced proficiency in analytics and data-driven strategy development, with a history of adapting strategies based on KPIs and insights.

  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and scale teams of community managers while fostering alignment and collaboration.

  • Skilled at building and leveraging relationships with key crypto ecosystem contributors influencers, KOLs, and strategic partners.

  • Experience organizing large-scale virtual events or initiatives focused on user engagement and education.

  • Familiarity with community management tools, analytics platforms, and CRM software.

The compensation for this position will vary based on geography and other factors (including years and depth of experience and expertise, and other business considerations). The base salary range for this role for the United States is $140,000 - $180,000. Additionally, this full-time role is eligible to receive benefits, as well as participate in Magic Eden’s equity plan. Final offer package will be at the company’s sole discretion

  • Providing regular updates and information to the community about the progress and status of the technology
  • Dentifying and addressing any issues or conflicts within the community, and working to resolve them in a positive and constructive manner.
