Community Manager

Job Intro

As part of the ecosystem team you will be responsible for enabling the growth of the international community and guiding independent IOTA related communities.

Responsibilities & Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring the communication between community members and the IOTA Foundation on several platforms (Discord, Reddit, Twitter, Telegram and the likes)
  • Actively engage with the IOTA community on all relevant channels. Be a source of information and knowledge about IOTA and advocate and represent our Mission and Values in our community and the Web3 space
  • Pro-actively share relevant information about IOTA with administrators of independent IOTA communities to guide their growth and development
  • Forward relevant information about IOTA Community, technology and ecosystem topics to the relevant IOTA Foundation departments.
  • Support the moderators of the IOTA Discord and relevant Telegram Groups in their daily endevour
  • Support the IOTA Foundation Teams to improve developer experience and support ecosytstem builders in their path of developing applications with IOTA technology by beeing a proactive source of information and a contact person for inquiries.
  • Support the organization and execution of IOTA Events and Community activities including personal attendance.
  • Identify and leverage resources to grow and enlarge the IOTA community and the IOTA Ecosystem
  • Coordinate with the Community Moderators about any issues impacting the broader online community.
  • Co-develop a directory of methods (strategies, activities, programs) with the Community Moderators
  • Interact with members of the communications team, specifically with regard to ensuring that community questions/concerns are being adequately met

Requirements:

  • Conflict resolution and public speaking is in your DNA
  • Comfortable working in a remote setup

Your Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • High level of fluency in spoken and written English other languages are a plus
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Ability to deal sensitively and appropriately with confidential information
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritise important projects
  • Flexibility to engage on several different digital platforms
  • Previous experience in other DLT communities is valued

Bonus Experience:

  • Job related experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of Web3 technologies and relevant development skills is a plus
  • Experience of participating and/or working in open source communities
  • Ability to generate content for digital platforms (videos/graphics/memes and the likes)
