As Senior Community Manager, you will have the opportunity to get in on the ground floor at a company at the forefront of the serverless blockchain movement. The Senior Community Manager will work with our Marketing, DevRel, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering teams to build, grow, and engage our developer and customer community. You will own community-facing content, programs, and supporting platforms.
You will be an early member of our marketing and DevRel team âwith the ability and interest to drive outcomes directly. This role will report directly to the VP of Marketing and will have key responsibilities for company-level OKRs, including community engagement and product adoption.
We are a virtual company seeking employees who can operate within +/- 5 hours of the US Pacific Time Zone.
Responsibilities:
- Launch and scale our online community, and associated technology platforms, quickly and successfully
- Lead the charge for delivering valuable content to our community, both as an author/producer of high-level content, and as the champion driving the creation of technical content
- Find ways to promote the community through regular programming and events that Vendia holds or participates in
- Create new avenues of communication and discussions for our community
- Manage email and platform notifications to keep our community up to date
- Establish programs that engage influencers, thought leaders, customers, users, and developers with our community
- Manage and lead community- and DevRel exclusive events, both online and in-person (when travel allows)
- Collect and analyze feedback regularly on program engagement, events, and performance to make better-informed decisions on priorities
- Manage the intake process with our team to launch new community programs and content
- Collect community feedback and assist with community support
- Actively participate in the implementation and maintenance of the community program workflows. This includes improving and troubleshooting related processes and working cross-functionally with associated teams in Marketing, DevRel, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering
Requirements:
- 5+ years managing events, DevRel, or community-specific programs
- Significant experience mapping and implementing unique community engagement programs
- Strong copywriting and communication skills
- Enjoys working at a fast pace cross-functionally
- A kind, empathic, and proactive person
- Loves uncovering community needs and building programs around them
- Gets excited about building relationships and a community
- Cares deeply about diversity and inclusion
- Writes and speaks fluent English
- Experience with community management platforms or customer advocacy platforms (e.g., Discourse, Influitive, etc.) preferred
- Familiar with and effective at working on a remote or distributed team preferred
