The Team

The Marketing Operations team at Kraken values organization, process excellence, and rigor. Our Mission is to increase efficiency and drive results in the execution of the overall marketing objectives via strategic planning, infrastructure, repeatable processes, best practices, budgeting and reporting.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Marketing & Communications Operations Specialist to ensure our Regional and Comms & PR teams reach savage levels of velocity. 50% of your time will support our Regional team and 50% our Comms & PR team. You will support our Comms & PR team with day to day project management; supporting the portfolio of work, managing timelines, meetings/action items, budget, expenses and vendors for the team. Additionally, you will support our Regional team & Regional Operations Manager with localization project management as we scale to drive country-level growth and business impact. In addition to Global Marketing & Operations, you will work closely with critical cross functional partners including; Brand Design, Compliance & Legal, Localization, Vendor Management, and FP&A.

This role reports to the Director of Global Marketing Operations but will work closely with the Regional and Comms & PR teams.

You have experience with project management in the marketing space and understand the importance of planning, execution & progress reporting. You may even have direct experience project managing localization or transcreation of marketing content. You’re a strong communicator with excellent follow through skills - you don’t let anything slip through the cracks. You’ve got an ease about you: you can move work forward in remote & ambiguous situations without getting your feathers ruffled. You enjoy moving projects forward and keeping teammates motivated to the finish line!

  • Project management for Global Comms & PR team
  • Project management for Regional Localization team, supporting the execution of strategic roadmaps for key regions
  • Campaign planning & production - including entry and management of executions & marketing activities in Airtable, our internal project management tool
  • Collaborate with and manage localization and translation vendors & internal partners, ensuring timely delivery of assets for regional launches and sprints
  • Collaborate with and manage Comms & PR vendors
  • Collaborate and manage internal relationships with brand design & copywriting - submitting design briefs and managing stakeholders for feedback/approval
  • Own the localization process and champion best practices for localization efforts across paid and owned marketing channels
  • Traffic assets for approvals with compliance, legal & other required stakeholders for all campaigns & executions, confirming assets adhere to Kraken standards and crypto regulation
  • NDA, contract, invoice & expense management, collaborating with vendor management, FP&A, and legal teams as necessary
  • Coordinate team meetings, drive agendas and follow up activities to ensure team alignment
  • Ongoing process optimization in partnership with Operations leadership
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to get our marketing out the door and into the world!

Skills You Should HODL

  • 3+ years of previous experience in operations, project management in Marketing
  • Experience working at a premium brand, matrixed organization and/or creative agency
  • Concise speaker, storyteller, and writer: ability to slice, dice, and distill a narrative from a complex data set into an executive summary
  • Experience managing go-to-marketing campaign and executions across digital channels
  • Experience managing localization or translation

Nice to Have

  • Geo-specific, global client experience in US, UK, EU, CA, AU
  • Previous crypto experience not required but certainly a plus! (Maybe you’ve got a couple of moonshot ideas for transforming marketing in crypto?)
