About Us:

Holder is hiring our first designer. Holder is building the first marketing and sales software platform for the web3 industry (NFT projects, DeFi protocols, DApps, protocols, and other crypto-native businesses). It is the first startup in this industry and the first web3 business to launch out of High Alpha’s venture studio.

Design is paramount in our business and the web3 industry as a whole, and we have invested deeply in design holistically across our company since the beginning.

You will be part of the founding team and our first full-time designer. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with the world-class High Alpha design team and the community of other High Alpha portfolio designers. If you have ever been interested in working at a company as the founding Designer, this is it.

About this role:

In this role, you will report directly to our CEO and will own the entire design function and process at Holder, including product design and UI/UX. As the founding designer, you will also be responsible for playing a major part in our ongoing brand design and upkeep. You will work closely with our product development team, our customer success team, and directly with our customers to ensure we are designing and building solutions for our customers biggest challenges.

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong sense of design and aesthetics and will be able to share and sell your ideas. You recognize the impact of the smallest details on design and understand what it takes to develop great creative work and usability of our software. You thrive in collaborative environments, and have experience translating strategies into great product experiences.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own and develop design solutions from ideation to execution.
  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders and apply critical design thinking to uncover project requirements and develop project briefs.
  • Talk to prospects and potential users to validate concepts and develop thoughtful solutions.
  • Assist in the definition and scoping of new product features and MVPs.
  • Work directly with the product and engineering teams to develop new product features that deliver meaningful experiences.
  • Manage the workflow of multiple design projects and deadlines.
  • Present creative work and review/implement design feedback and changes.
  • Deliver high-fidelity assets for new products and services.
  • Obsessively refine every interaction and visual design detail.
  • Create and define product design systems and components that will allow for the continued development of new features in an efficient and consistent manner.

What You’ll Need:

  • 3-5+ years professional design experience.
  • A thoughtfully-presented portfolio that demonstrates a refined aesthetic, the ability to think conceptually, and excellent visual and product design skills.
  • Ability to take lead and own one’s own tasks and projects from start to finish.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in UX research methods.
  • Genuine curiosity and a strong desire to continuously learn and grow.
  • Proven experience creating high-fidelity designs in Figma, Sketch, Illustrator, etc.
  • The ability to create prototypes using Origami, Framer, Keynote, HTML/CSS/JS, or other tools.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently and operate in a fast-paced work environment.

Our Values:

DREAMING BIG

We constantly challenge ourselves to push boundaries, defy conventional wisdom, and take smart risks by pursuing big opportunities hiding in plain sight.

MOVING FAST

We push ourselves and portfolio companies to build processes and systems that compress time, speed, and decision-making to produce results faster.

EXPECTING MORE

We demand the best from ourselves, our team, and our partners. We create the context for success by providing the appropriate resources, infrastructure, training, and mentorship required to win.
