Role Overview:Job Title: AccountantLocation: Santa Monica, California We’re looking for a versatile and detail-oriented Accountant to join our growing finance team. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple entities, currencies, and jurisdictions, with exposure to digital asset accounting, banking operations, and international consolidation processes. You’ll play a key role in helping maintain accurate financial records, support audits, and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders globally. This is a strong fit for someone with a few years of foundational experience who’s ready to broaden their scope and grow in a fast-paced, international fintech environment.Please note: This is not a remote position. The role requires regular, in-person work at our Santa Monica office. Who We Are: Telcoin is a start-up fintech provider utilizing blockchain technology to deliver cutting-edge financial products and services. Telcoin is expanding rapidly and currently operates in numerous countries with the ambition to launch in many more. As part of our expansion, we are now seeking to hire a US-based Accountant. Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts across multiple entities and currencies

Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities

Reconcile bank and digital asset accounts and investigate variances

Support intercompany transactions, eliminations, and global consolidations

Process vendor invoices and assist in accounts payable as needed

Prepare and review financial data for internal reporting and external audits

Maintain accurate documentation for accounting policies, transactions, and audit trails

Assist in developing and improving accounting workflows and controls

Collaborate with internal teams (Legal, HR, Operations etc.) and external vendors across jurisdictions

Provide support for ad hoc projects, analyses, and process improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or progress toward CPA a plus)

3–5 years of hands-on accounting experience (corporate or public); experience in multi-entity or international environments preferred

Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, with working knowledge of monthly close, account reconciliations, and audit preparation

Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, etc.); experience with accounting systems such as NetSuite or QuickBooks is a plus

Ability to analyze financial data, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues independently

Highly organized with strong attention to detail and time management

Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional and cross-border collaboration

Interest or experience in digital asset/crypto accounting, banking operations, or fintech is a plus

Spanish language skills are a plus (due to collaboration with Telcoin Mexico)
