Job Description

Team Summary

Visa's Crypto Team is responsible for identifying new product opportunities that exist within the emerging crypto, stablecoin, and blockchain network landscape, creating strategies that define Visa's participation in the ecosystem, and developing, launching and scaling the capabilities required to capture those opportunities. Working closely with Visa’s Product and Solutions teams and other teams to identify and pursue opportunities to deliver value propositions that integrate digital currency solutions into Visa’s core products and solutions. The team is focused on positioning Visa as a leader in the cryptocurrency space, enhancing payment experiences and expanding access to digital currencies.

The role is based in the Singapore Market Support Centre and will report to the Head of Digital Currencies, Asia Pacific.

What a Director – AP Crypto Product Strategy does at Visa:

  • Identify and build transformative products in Asia Pacific and enhance current products that will deliver value to our Asia Pacific business and our clients
  • Create and grow new revenue streams for Visa through current and upcoming crypto products
  • Deploy Global Crypto products in Asia Pacific, adapting them as per a wide variety of Visa’s Asia Pacific partners including banks, fintechs, merchants, central banks, and blockchain network ecosystem participants
  • Expand and manage innovative POC’s, Pilots and partnerships with key clients. Scaling emerging crypto product lines from initial proof of concept to go-to-market execution
  • Stay up to speed on latest developments in crypto industry, including updates to regulations, stablecoins, tokenized deposits, and CBDCs. Incorporate learnings and industry direction into adaptable products that can quickly pivot and meet market demand.
  • Serve as one of Visa’s internal and external facing experts on all digital currency products and blockchain technology

Qualifications

What you will need:

  • 10-12 or more years of experience in leading strategy at top-tier Management consulting firms or product roles at fintech, payments, and financial services companies
  • Demonstrated track record of building products or solutions and leading complex solution design and delivery within digital currency or fintech environment.
  • Possess significant functional knowledge of the Digital Currency ecosystem and players involved, including in-depth knowledge around permisionless blockchain technology as well as a deep understanding of existing retail payment solutions and cross border payments
  • Experience working with Fintechs and crypto wallets and exchanges, including specific experience partnering with crypto infrastructure providers
  • Strong problem-solving skills and creativity to identify new opportunities/anticipate how crypto can impact payments ecosystem
  • Expertise in explaining complex concepts and technologies to a broad audience of external and internal partners•
  • Advanced communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels of an organization
  • Strategic, analytical thinker who consistently challenges the status quo and constructively challenges the team to aim for higher ground.
  • Previous experience in an product role at a startup or high growth company
  • MBA or advanced degree from a top tier program
