You will understand the key money laundering risks within the global digital assets industry and assist in putting key risk mitigation controls in place. As a key member of the APAC compliance team and key contributor to the global AML program, you will learn and grow our company’s values which define our culture and drive day to day behaviors and decision making. Responsibilities
Lead the KYC and Transaction Monitoring Analysts and Associates by managing, mentoring, developing and fostering a culture of compliance, maintaining service level agreements and working towards continuous improvement. Liaise with internal stakeholders including Institutional Coverage (IC), Sales, Business Operations by providing KYC/AML/TM policy advice, status update as needed. Form strong partnerships with country compliance teams globally by balancing shifting priorities, ensuring policy and regulatory requirements remain at the forefront of execution and approach. Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of KYC and Transaction Monitoring operations. Prepare regular reports for senior management on KYC activities, risks, and compliance status. Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and guidance pertaining to Digital Asset regulations particularly around KYC and Transaction Monitoring. Proactively seek and develop greater productivity and enhancements where possible through process improvements and/or technological enhancements. Support global and regional compliance teams on certain risk mitigation projects.
Success
As a team lead, you’ll be part of a global network of high performing compliance leadership and a key contributor to the success of the Firm’s AML and Sanctions program. You consider yourself to be an expert in KYC regulatory requirements in at least three jurisdictions. To be successful in this role, you must work well under pressure and have excellent communication and written skills. You will need to be flexible, managing shifting priorities across time zones.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Law, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications a plus. At least 10+ years of experience in KYC, compliance, risk management, or related fields, ideally with a focus on KYC and Transaction Monitoring. Team Leader: a strong track record of leading people as a people manager. Effective leadership: project manager and people experience with simplifying, consolidating, standardizing, and eventually automating certain (AI) processes. Demonstrated knowledge of compliance risks, operations, systems, tools and processes, including third party vendor solutions. Provide insights into trends in compliance operations to enable informed decisions about management of compliance risks. Understand the evolving digital technology landscape and partnering with the compliance leadership team to develop strategies to enable digital technologies and apply to day job. Responsible for designing data and management reporting, connecting the dots from different data sets, building data visualizations for easy identification of patterns, trends, outliers, and communication in a clear and succinct manner results to senior management.
