From managing our participation at industry conferences to planning our own Grayscale events, the ideal candidate is someone with deep passion and experience in event planning, and who brings a proven approach to event strategy as an independent channel driving measurable ROI for the business. As an applicant, you will have 5-7 years of experience planning and managing events, enjoy traveling for events, and thrive in high pressure environments.   Responsibilities:Strategic Event Planning

Develop and execute event strategies aligned with the company’s business and brand objectives. Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure events support business development, marketing, and client engagement. Identify key opportunities for events to enhance company visibility and market positioning.

Budget Management

Oversee the event budget, ensuring costs are controlled. Negotiate with vendors, suppliers, and venues to ensure cost-effective event solutions. Allocate funds appropriately across various event components (e.g., logistics, marketing, activations).

Event Logistics and Execution

Oversee all event logistics related to external event participation and owned/hosted events. Expected to be on-site at all events to ensure they are run smoothly and efficiently; handling any last-minute changes or issues.

Marketing and Promotion

Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events through appropriate channels, including digital marketing, social media, and advertising. Develop and execute strategies to maximize attendance and engagement for events. Ensure the company’s branding is consistently applied across all event materials and communications.

Event Analytics and Reporting

Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for each event, such as attendance, engagement, and ROI. Gather feedback from attendees, stakeholders, and sponsors to assess event success and identify areas for improvement. Provide detailed reports to senior leadership on the outcomes of each event.

Innovation and Trends

Stay up-to-date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and event management best practices. Introduce innovative ideas to improve event experiences and create memorable, engaging experiences for attendees.

Prior Experience/Requirements:

5-7 years of experience in event planning, coordination, and management. Proven leadership experience in managing vendors and partners, from selecting best-in-class partners to negotiating terms and contracts to coordinating vendors on-site. Excellent organizational and project management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Deep industry knowledge of the event ecosystem, including event technology, platforms, and tools. Existing strong relationships with conference organizers, major vendors, and useful partners. Deep attention to detail. A driven, high octane attitude. Ability to handle high-pressure situations and problem-solve quickly.
