In this role, you will be responsible for both securities accounting for our regulated securities business and general corporate accounting for the operating company. You will play a critical role in supporting the financial and accounting functions of the Japan entity through regulatory capital management, regulatory reporting, financial close processes, cash management, payment operations, and financial reporting. In addition to calculating and monitoring the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), you will contribute to capital planning and capital strategy development to support business growth and new business initiatives. Working closely with senior management and global finance teams, you will help build and maintain a strong financial foundation that supports sustainable growth while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You will also collaborate with global finance teams and stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement. Securities Accounting
Manage accounting operations for a regulated securities business Perform accounting for securities transactions and customer assets Calculate, monitor, and validate the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) Support the development of capital plans and capital strategies aligned with business growth objectives Partner with management and global teams on capital management and regulatory capital optimization Prepare and submit regulatory reports and filings to the Financial Services Agency (FSA), Japan Securities Dealers Association (JSDA), and other regulatory bodies Support accounting and finance activities related to regulatory compliance requirements
General Accounting and Finance
Manage general accounting operations for the corporate entity Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes Oversee payment operations, including invoice processing and employee expense reimbursements Manage cash flow and treasury activities Prepare financial statements and supporting accounting schedules
Other Responsibilities
Support accounting system implementation and migration projects Provide accounting and financial support for new product and service launches Contribute to the improvement and standardization of accounting operations in collaboration with the global finance team
Who You Are (Must-Haves):
