Company Description
Senior Front-End Engineer
OleOle – Where Fans Kick Off
About OleOle
OleOle is building the world’s first football-specific social network and super-app for the planet’s 3 billion football fans.
This is not another generic social platform. OleOle combines:
- Twitter->
- TikTok->
- WhatsApp->
- Live scores and match data
- AI-powered real-time translation in 200+ languages
- A deep, Wikipedia-scale football history product
- A crypto-enabled rewards, payments, and gambling layer
All built natively, ad-free, and without platform taxes.
We are designing OleOle as the infrastructure layer for football fandom — where fans, clubs, creators, brands, and businesses all operate inside one unified product.
What We’re Building
OleOle is a multi-surface product, not a single website or app.
You’ll be working on:
- A real-time social feed (posts, replies, media, translations)
- TikTok->
- Live score and match-driven UX components
- Club, country, and competition pages at massive scale
- Messaging and notifications tied to live sporting events
- History and data-rich content templates (20,000+ teams)
- Commerce and mini-program interfaces (phase two)
- Crypto wallet identity surfaced only when users transact
Everything we build must scale globally, support multiple languages by default, and feel fast, intuitive, and familiar to football fans everywhere.
How We’re Building It
We are not bolting features onto legacy SaaS tools.
Our approach:
- Native platform architecture (not WordPress, not no-code)
- Heavy use of proven open-source foundations
- Front end tightly integrated with a Rust-based backend
- Real-time data flows (scores, chats, translations)
- Component-driven UI that can scale to thousands of page types
- Mobile-first, but desktop-grade experiences
This is a long-term platform build, not a marketing site.
Technology Stack (Front End)
You don’t need to know everything here, but you must be comfortable operating in this kind of environment.
- React / modern component frameworks
- TypeScript
- Next.js (or equivalent SSR / hybrid rendering experience)
- Real-time data handling (WebSockets, streams, events)
- Media-heavy UI (video, live updates, feeds)
- Internationalization (i18n) at scale
- API-driven architecture
- Collaboration with Rust backend engineers
- Strong performance, accessibility, and UX discipline
Experience working alongside blockchain, fintech, or real-time systems is a plus, but not mandatory.
The Role
We’re looking for a senior front-end engineer, not a pixel pusher.
You will:
- Own major parts of the front-end architecture
- Translate product vision into scalable UI systems
- Build reusable components that support massive content growth
- Work closely with backend, mobile, and UX teams
- Anticipate problems before they become technical debt
- Help set front-end standards and best practices
- Ship features that millions of users could rely on during live matches
This role requires judgment, autonomy, and taste — not just code output.
