Data Engineer
Responsibilities
- Design and build data transformations efficiently and reliably
- Design and implement reliable, scalable, robust, and extensible big data systems that support trading and research
- Design and implement data cleaning process and monitoring system to pin out anomalies found in data fed from vendors.
What we want you to have
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or other STEM disciplines
- 2 years or more of experience and proven track records in the software development, data engineering or relevant experience (portfolio of achievement while in Master or Ph.D. program, open-source project, etc., for instance)
- Understanding of object-oriented programming
- Proficiency in SQL, C++ and Python including pandas and numpy
- Experience in Unix/Linux environments
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced team environment
- Excellent analytical skills
- Spoken and written English language skill in conversational level
Nice to have
- Proficiency in Apache Airflow and Kafka
- Shell scripting
- Experience in historical time series data
- Ability to take the initiative and work without detailed guidance or supervision
