We are hiring a Head of Data, a new role at OP Labs that will be responsible for driving a data-driven, proactive product roadmap. The person in this role will manage a team, build out a data program that will inform company-level strategy, and ultimately allow us to build for the future. They will work closely with leaders and stakeholders across the business to shape our data and analytics product offering and champion the needs of our customers as the data expert in the Ethereum ecosystem.
What are the role responsibilities?
- Build out our Data program and define how our Data and Analytics program informs company-level strategy
- Drive and deliver a proactive Data team roadmap
- Guide our investment in our Data Infrastructure
- Define and refine our company-level north star metrics and goals
- Set up the team to proactively derive insights from both on- and off-chain data
- Partner with Product to eventually shape our product support for our customers’ Data and Analytics needs
- Identify gaps in our current Data & Analytics team, and build out the team to address these gaps
What skills do you bring?
- You have experience partnering with executive teams to define metrics- and data-driven company strategy
- You have strong people management skills, including prior experience hiring and managing Data Analysts, Data Scientists and/or Data Engineers in a hands-on environment
- You’ve been hands-on in the past and come from a background as a Data Scientist or Data Analyst
- You have excellent cross-functional collaboration skills, especially with leaders from other areas of the business like Product, Finance, and/or BD
- You are familiar with crypto and the onchain data space. Even if you don’t have prior full time experience in crypto, you have a baseline familiarity with tools like Dune—and, most importantly, you’re excited to dive deeper into the space!
