We are seeking a Finance Engineer to join our dynamic Finance team at Kiln. In this role, you will support the operation of Kilnâs financial systems through data monitoring, analysis, and report creation, as well as by contributing to process automation solutions. You will work closely with our Head of Finance and collaborate with the Sales and Engineering teams to ensure the reliability of Kilnâs financial data for both internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
1) Monitoring & analysis:
Monitor Proof-of-Stake protocols and blockchain networks to identify and analyze financial implications. Keep updated on market trends and regulatory changes to inform our strategies.
2) Data integration & management:
Integrate various data sources, including on-chain information, blockchain aggregators/explorers, and internal services, using APIs. Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency in Kilnâs databases.
3) Financial reporting:
Develop and deliver comprehensive financial reports tailored to the needs of Kiln, our partners and customers. Use data analysis to create custom reports that track Kiln's financial metrics (Revenue, Expenses, AUS, etc.) and provide valuable insights to our customers (Staking activity, Reward statements, etc.).
4) Innovation in automation:
Create new internal tools and automated solutions to enhance the efficiency of Kilnâs financial and operational processes, including billing, treasury management, and cryptocurrency transaction reconciliation.
5) Customer & leadership support:
Address customer inquiries related to invoicing and financial data. Work closely with the leadership team, providing finance insights to aid in risk mitigation and opportunity identification
Stack:
Tech: Python, SQL (PostgreSQL), API (REST, JSON).
Tools: BI, Google Sheets, Excel, Postman, GitHub, Slack.
Requirements
SQL and Python: Proficient in data analytics using SQL and Python.
Blockchain and Crypto: Demonstrated interest; knowledge of protocols, blockchain explorers, and smart contracts is a plus.
Financial Modeling: solid understanding of financial modeling, KPIs, and reporting with Google Sheets and Excel.
Education: Master's degree in Technology or Finance.
Languages: Fluent in English and ideally French.
