Mission statement

What we are looking for… an experienced algo centric market maker to lead our team of traders in delta-1 altcoin crypto markets. 

Job description

• Manage a team of traders across 3 time zones with 24/7 coverage

• Develop and deploy new algorithms, clients and markets

• Keeping a global updated view of all algorithmic trading operations

• Trade execution across crypto spot, futures and perpetuals; and hedging both crypto and FX related exposure.

• Educate and nurture traders in development of trading algorithms

• Preventative actions by spread adaptations and configuring conditions, pricing and exposure thresholds on algorithmic trading bots.

• Monitoring closely client service level agreements are met and evaluating trading performance using internal, exchange and on-chain data.

• Keeping track of the treasury, and liaising with the finance team to ensure capital efficiency

• Act as point of contact for the product team and drive decisions on new feature requests.

• Acting as a point of call internally on trading and market related insights.

• Liaising with the Commercial team to provide insights to market making clients on trading performance and service level agreement requirements.

• Engage with the quant research group to drive communication between trading desks and quant researcher constructing models. 

Background and experience

• 2-3+ years of institutional cryptocurrency trading experience across CEXes and DEXes

• 5+ years of experience in algorithmic trading

• Exposure to and an understanding of key tradfi asset classes e.g., options, futures, FX either from a previous role or educational background.
  

Competences and personality

• Able to manage a team of traders

• Strong analytical ability

• Fully comfortable with trading and order books

• Able to act and to take decisions under pressure

• Understanding of digital assets and blockchain technologies (particularly CEXes and DEXes)

• Understanding of financial market structure

• Strong attention to details

• Adaptable and a strong team player

• Applicable coding skills and ability to write and test basic algorithms in Python. 

• Good communicator

• Fluent in English
