What you’ll do:

• Take ownership of Cake’s product quality engineering and release pipeline reporting into a QA Lead
• Apply your quality engineering capability to improve our QE pipeline on top of our existing QA automation suite and implement new suites.
• Writing automation scripts and workflows driving greater adoption of test automation software.
• Collaborating with the team to; solve application faults, discuss verification protocols, identify and report bugs, identify quality issues

What you’ll need:

• A collaborative and resourceful individual with excellent communication skills able to make radical decisions while being empathetic and respectful.
• Experience working in a fast pace tech-driven startup as a quality engineer with at least 4 years of experience.
• Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and other programming languages with experience working in API, Web and Mobile technologies QA.
• Experience in setup and maintaining CI pipelines using (GitHub Actions, Circle CI, etc)
• Experience in Unix-based OSs usage. (Shell scripting, remote administration)
• Experience with Docker
• Ability to take full ownership and work independently while collaborating with others in a fast-paced agile team.
• Comfortable working remotely via telecommuting with collaboration tools such as Slack; we have teams spanning multiple time zones.
• Experience participating/maintaining in open source software development is highly preferred.
