This is a full-time remote role. The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for managing cloud infrastructure as code, writing continuous integration delivery pipelines, Linux system administration, and more! As we are a Web3 infrastructure provider, experience and interest in administering blockchain nodes and Web3 in general will be highly regarded.
Day-to-day tasks may include infrastructure automation and management, troubleshooting, responding to automated alerts and support requests, and optimization of services delivery. The Engineer will also work closely with various development teams to ensure smooth deployments and scalability.
This is a completely remote position. The responsibilities sometimes require working evenings and weekends, sometimes with little advance notice. No regular travel is required and the budget for conferences and training is in place.
- Expertise with most AWS cloud hosting services and deployment technologies; other cloud providers is a plus
- Strong Linux skills and scripting (Bash, Python)
- Proven ability to design, implement, maintain and collaborate on Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Experience with containerization and container orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
- On-call experience (PagerDuty)
- Git/GitHub knowledge - usage and administration of multiple Organisations
- Conceptual and implementational knowledge of CI/CD (GitHub Actions)
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with disaster recovery implementation and strategies
- Interpersonal skills working with stakeholders at different technical levels and backgrounds
