As employee #1, you would have a unique opportunity to have an outsized impact on the direction and success of MetaDAO. If we’re right, this will fundamentally reshape the way civilization operates. You would be a part of that.

MetaDAO is a cryptocurrency project because that’s where the initial market–DAOs–is. But we embrace the customer obsession and long-term orientation of Silicon Valley and will be selecting for long-term focused, high-agency, hard-working, and skilled people.

As the founding engineer, you would manage all aspects of our backend and smart contract stack. You will be instrumental in designing and implementing new systems and protocols relevant to MetaDAO.

Requirements:

• Demonstrably excellent at solving engineering problems with code.
• Has a high preference for simple solutions over complex ones.
• Obsessed with delighting the customer.
• Excellent verbal and written communication ability.

Nice-to-haves:

• Worked with SVM-based or EVM-based smart contracts in the past.
• Worked across the stack including on frontends, middleware, and databases.
• Understands the basics of how markets operate (e.g., order books, AMMs, derivatives, et cetera).
