We’re seeking a passionate Research Engineer to join our Incubator team and help drive bleeding edge blockchain innovation. As a Research Engineer, you will play a pivotal role of an R&D generalist, taking ownership of various research, development, and deployment initiatives.Â
Roles and Responsibilities:Â
- Deep understanding blockchain technology, covering areas like (but not limited to): consensus mechanisms, optimized transaction processing, Ethereum execution layer client improvements, etc.
- Design, develop, and deploy experimental proof of concept architecture for applications and solutions, with a particular focus on scaling technologies and complex integrations
- Execute end-to-end smart contract and infrastructure-related functionality deployments, including configuration of CI/CD pipelines and management of Docker components
- Read, interact with, and efficiently streamline open source code interactions
- Stay on top of innovation trends and produce feasible technical roadmaps in close cross-sectorial collaboration with engineering and product departments
Requirements and needed skills:
Â
- Mandatory deep understanding of cryptography, consensus algorithms, blockchain infrastructure, smart contracts.
- Demonstrated expertise and interest in zero-knowledge and/or scaling technologies like Polygon, Optimism, Arbitrum, etc.
- Extensive experience and proficiency with Golang, Python, and Django
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Helm, and automated testing frameworks
- Ability to efficiently analyze and interpret complex code
- Strongly resonating engineering curiosity and passion for experimentation
- Proven ability to concurrently manage multiple projects and diligently produce deliverables
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to transfer knowledge in a seamless and engaging manner
