About the role
We are looking for an Accounting Associate (intern) to come join our Accounting & Finance team. This new role is a unique opportunity with invaluable growth potential and opportunities to help both yourself and Nansen’s finance team grow.
There’s lots to do; you will navigate the exciting waters of crypto accounting with the team and build out new processes to ensure Nansen stays compliant.
This is a remote-first global role, with a preference for candidates in the Singapore time zone.
A full time position upon completion of the internship programme (6 months) can be offered to exceptional candidates.
Your core responsibilities
- Own the Accounts Receivable process and documentation; ensuring all invoices are billed timely and accurately, records are kept in order, revenue collection is managed effectively and late payments are flagged accordingly
- Own the Accounts Payable process and documentation; execute timely payments to vendors, manage the safekeeping of invoices/receipts, updating of records
- Own the monitoring of testing revenue and expense records made by other teams to ensure accuracy in our financial reporting
- Assist in the preparation of month end journal vouchers and deferred revenue workings
Required skills and experience:
- Degree in Accounting/Finance or Economics if you have undertaken modules related to Accounting
- Candidates in their final year of university are welcome to apply
- Proficient in Excel
- Meticulous and keen eye for detail
- Innate ability to think big and build scalable processes
- Bonus points for IFRS knowledge and SQL experience
