We're looking for a Senior Data Scientist who can lead data science initiatives for our business pillars, including Rewards and EVM. This role will entail close collaboration with technical teams (Product & Engineering), as well as business teams to inform strategy and roadmap decisions through insightful data analysis. The ideal candidate should exhibit a blend of curiosity, drive, and resourcefulness in addition to advanced analytical skills.
Responsibilities:
- Lead data science projects and strategy for several business pillars within Magic Eden, specifically Rewards and EVM Marketplaces through close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders (Engineering, Product, Design, Business)
- Conduct analysis to inform product strategy and evaluate product improvements
- Present analysis findings and recommendations to cross functional stakeholders and executives
- Develop and measure metrics to monitor company and product performance
- Mentor team members and develop resources and processes to increase the efficiency of the Data Science and Analytics team
Requirements:
- 6+ years of industry experience in a Data Science and Analytics role in a high-growth technology startup environment
- Prior experience with marketplace platforms strongly preferred
- Advanced SQL skills and proficient with one or more scripting languages (Python, R)
- Strong knowledge of statistics and experience designing and analyzing A/B experiments
- Experience leading data science projects from start to finish
- Asks the hard questions and can prioritize to work on highest impact projects
- Proven ability to influence the company’s product strategy with your findings
- Experience working closely with Product and Engineering teams
- Deep interest and curiosity in, or native understanding of the NFT ecosystem

The compensation for this position will vary based on geography and other factors (including years and depth of experience and expertise, and other business considerations). The base salary range for this role for the United States is $160,000 - $210,000. Additionally, this full-time role is eligible to receive benefits, as well as participate in Magic Eden’s equity plan. Final offer package will be at the company’s sole discretion.
